Battery disposal information (BattG)

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of products containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally required to return used batteries. You can return used batteries free of charge at municipal collection points or local retailers. As a retailer, we are also obliged to take back used batteries free of charge.

Our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we sell or have sold as new batteries and to quantities that end users usually dispose of. Used batteries can be returned at: Kickstarter Ltd. & Co. KG, Sternbuschweg 201a, 47057 Duisburg

Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.

Below this symbol you may also find the following chemical symbols:

  • Pb = battery contains lead
  • Cd = battery contains cadmium
  • Hg = battery contains mercury

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
